THE CORDURA :

When CORDURA® was founded over 50 years ago, apparel and gear products were designed with endurance, versatility and performance in mind. This fabric is long-lasting which means less waste. The world has clearly changed. People expect more from what they wear, and they want to feel good about what they buy. They are conscious that their choices have an impact. At work and at leisure, we are all being challenged to think about how and where we can be more responsible. It is clearly something in which everyone has a stake. For us, it has always meant constantly innovating and keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible. Products made with CORDURA® Advanced Fabrics are built stronger and last longer.

EXPLORE THE SUSTAINABILITY PILLARS

DURABILITY
In a world dominated by fast fashion, we slow the product cycle down, making fabrics that can last for a lifetime because Sustainability Begins With Products That Last™.

INNOVATION
Technological innovation sits at the very heart of CORDURA®. As the fabric industry moves towards sustainability, we want to lead the way, pushing our fabrics to do more for the wearer with less demand on the planet.

WASTE AVOIDANCE
Waste less and get more from what you wear. We aim to reclaim, reduce or recycle any waste we produce, as well as look at repurposing waste from outside of the industry.

THE VEG TANNED LEATHER:

Vegetable-tanned leather is a type of leather that is produced using natural tannins derived from plant sources, such as tree barks, leaves, and fruits. It is a traditional method of leather tanning that has been used for centuries. Over a period of several weeks, the tannins gradually penetrate the hide, binding with the collagen fibers and transforming the raw hide into leather.

Vegetable-tanned leather is known for its natural and earthy appearance. It has a distinct aroma and develops a rich patina over time, giving it a unique character. This type of leather is often used in high-quality leather goods, such as bags, belts, wallets.

One of the advantages of vegetable-tanned leather is its environmental friendliness. Vegetable tanning utilizes natural materials, making it more sustainable and less harmful to the environment. It’s worth noting that vegetable-tanned leather may have some variations in terms of color and texture due to the natural tanning process.
